Hi Ray,I dont know much about paint but just normal enamel in a spray can worked on my htach cover and foil/bulb.I also have a pushrod steering. It came with my boat (2nd hand). You can buy this type of steering upgrade from Radio Yacht Supplies Australia. Google RYSA.cheers,AaronMinnamurra,NSW

RayPretty much any hobby based paint will work. I used the Tamiya range as it is convenient & seems to last. Car spraypacks will work but be careful of quality. Using a Pushrod for Steering is strongly recommended. The secret is to use Stainless Steel & avoid as much Servo Binding as possible. The RYSA upgrade is a good starting point, & easily replicated if you have the spares at home. CheersJohn

Hi Mike & others Thanks yes i am enjoying myself i am sailing with a goup of 5 > 6 MM at medowie which is near Newcastle we sail MM on thursdays (just social races with handicaps) and usually get through about six races its a lot of fun.even had a couple of wins last week as the wind was up a bit and i did not get into any holes (NO WIND) which i struggle with reading the water surface at the moment but i am learning to tune the boat well with help from the other Guys Ray
